The Role:We are seeking a Clinical Director to join the team on a Permanent Full-Time basis.Your role will encompass leadership, clinical responsibilities, quality and safety oversight, resource management, supervision, and contributions to research and education.The Location:This tropical coastal location provides relaxed and comfortable rural and coastal living opportunities, only an hour's flight from Brisbane and a short distance to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.The tropical climate is ideal for outdoor living with beautiful beaches and a spectacular natural environment nearby.Families are well serviced by a choice of high-quality schools and a wide range of sporting clubs with excellent facilities.The Hospital:This is a 236-bed regional facility supporting 10 rural hospitals across the Mackay, Isaac, and Whitsunday regions.Currently undergoing a $250 million redevelopment, the hospital will add 112 beds and expand outpatient and support services.Rural hospitals in Bowen, Moranbah, Proserpine, and Clermont are also receiving significant upgrades.The hospital offers a diverse clinical casemix, including general medicine, paediatrics, surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics & gynaecology, and mental health, all supported by emergency, anaesthetics, and intensive care departments.Specialty services are provided by tertiary hospitals in Townsville and Brisbane, with a strong teaching partnership with James Cook University.The Requirements: Specialist knowledge and understanding of Internal Medicine.Possession of a high level of initiative and decision-making ability, along with sound clinicalknowledge, in order to make important and ethically informed decisions on a day-to-day basis.Proven ability to provide specialist consultancy/advisory services to both internal and externalagencies whilst ensuring the provision of safe and high-quality health care derived from soundknowledge of concepts of Human Factors and Patient Safety.Demonstrated commitment to provide specialist leadership for clinical and service improvementactivities to initiate, encourage and participate in research, evaluation and evidence-based oversightaimed at creating a high level performance culture within the service.Effective time management skills and reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments.Sound knowledge and demonstrated leadership at a strategic level of human resource managementissues, including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination anddemonstrated commitment to their implementation.For more informationcontactAbi Harringtonon 0488 036*** or send me your CV ****** Be careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.Don't transfer any money or complete suspicious online surveys.If you see something suspicious, report this job ad .#J-18808-Ljbffr
