Your Role
As an Assistant Director, you'll lead and manage staff and teams to deliver various activities, including:
* Regulatory interventions: making recommendations to the Minister for regulatory action.
* Research & Intelligence: managing intelligence resources and conducting research to prepare reports and recommendations.
* Policy and advocacy: working with regulators to advocate for reform and clarify roles/responsibilities within the product safety regulatory framework.
* Project management: designing, executing, and evaluating initiatives to address product safety hazards or internal business needs.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
* Experience in a relevant field such as law, regulation, compliance, economics, public policy, communications, project management, health, or intelligence.
* Demonstrated managerial experience in a team, delivering quality outputs on time.
* Proven ability to undertake objective research and analysis to draw accurate conclusions.
* Highly effective written communication skills preparing high-quality documentation.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiating, and working collaboratively with stakeholders.
