We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services).About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven Cook who will prepare and serve nutritious quality food to participants of Mount Isa Recovery Services Centre according to menus, monitor methods of food handling, preparation, meal service and equipment cleaning within specified timeframes and in line with the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.You will successfullyPrepare high volume meals for residential participants in accordance with food handling requirements.Prepare nutritional quality food for participants of the centre within required timeframes and in line with approved menu and budget.Develop menu plans for the approval of the manager.Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining areas ensuring food is handled and prepared in line with Australian Food Safety Standards, TSA policies and procedures and government regulations.Maintain stock levels, taking deliveries and storage of supplies and food products in line with budget restraints and TSA policy and procedures.Ensure the rotation of food and track quality to comply with HACCP standards.This is a full-time, permanent position located in Mount Isa, QLD.
