Your Role: The Property Accountant's responsibilities are assisting the Accounting Manager with day-to-day tasks and projects, invoice work flows within the business, and month-end/year-end accounting procedures. The position will be responsible for providing financial reporting and specific levels of analysis across a diverse set of businesses and assets. Role day to day Prepare, maintain, and oversee P&L Provide accurate commentary for monthly actuals vs budget variances Responsible for completing monthly and quarterly BAS and GST reconciliations Complete monthly general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any outstanding items Assist with Annual budgeting/forecasting for the property group Assist with year-end tenant outgoings reconciliation and outgoings audit Assisting with preparation of data and insights for commercial tenders Identifying areas of process improvement and assisting with implementing change Other responsibilities as directed by the Accounting Manager What you need to succeed: Hold CA/CPA qualification (Advantageous but not Required) Excellent written and verbal communication Strong analytic, problem-solving and communication skills Ideal Background: Previous experience in retail property (advantageous) Property accounting experience This is a great chance to work for a stable, flexible and successful business.
