They are moving from executing tasks set by others to planning and assembling tasks to deliver project outcomes, utilising additional resources at times. The Experienced Architectural Graduate / newly registered Architect is learning all that is required to design and deliver a project from briefing to consultant coordination and delivery, delegating tasks and further developing their client relationship skills. They are often part of a larger team, but can work in isolation under the direction of a Senior Architect or Associate. The Architect will utilise their design / technical skills to achieve project design and/or project delivery in accordance with the Company’s quality systems. Key Responsibilities: Responsibility for the project design phases of small to medium sized projects or a section of a large project; Design and develop concepts using freehand sketch, presentation packages and documentation tools; Collaborate with project teams and other consultants to ensure that ongoing works are consistent with the original design intent; Responsibility for production of accurate contract documentation Collaborate with clients to determine their requirements and discuss the feasibility of their project goals. Perform site visits and evaluations to assess the construction site and ensure compliance with building regulations and codes. Prepare and present project proposals, plans, and estimates to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Oversee the construction process by monitoring progress, ensuring quality control, and adjusting plans as necessary. Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure timely completion and cost-effective delivery. Conduct research on new materials, technologies, and construction methods, and apply this knowledge to design projects. Collaborate with other professionals in the construction industry such as engineers, construction managers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance and innovation in project designs. Provide guidance to graduates and technicians, and participate in their training and development. Work in accordance with the business’ visions and values Qualifications & Experience: Australian Registered Architect in jurisdiction of practice. 4-8 years experience with large or complex projects. Proven experience in the construction industry, with a portfolio of successful projects. Proficiency in design software such as Revit and SketchUp. Proficiency in InDesign and/or Corel Draw highly regarded. Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
