Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is an integrated transport infrastructure and precincts planning project that will deliver a 90km rail line linking every major train service from the Frankston Line to the Werribee Line via Melbourne Airport, as well as investment in the suburbs, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other. Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is the statutory body established to plan all elements of the project, procure builders, develop structure planning for SRL Precincts and oversee construction and the other changes that will help transform Melbourne and Victoria.

About the opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic Digital Engineering Project Information Model (PIM) Manager to contribute your expertise to an iconic infrastructure project that will transform our communities and set new standards in digital engineering. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape digital engineering practices on a landmark project with far-reaching impacts on Victoria’s future. Reporting to the Digital Engineering and Asset Manager, your key accountabilities will include:
1. Providing senior leadership with specialist guidance on digital engineering governance, processes and technology, managing risks and opportunities and focusing on digital engineering management of data for infrastructure assets across the project lifecycle.
2. Maintaining digital engineering processes and technology to support the enablement of design, engineering and other organisational wide business functions.
3. Leading continuous improvement and innovation in the application of digital engineering to the SRL project.
4. Leading, coordinating, motivating and directing teams to achieve high performance and managing operational tasks and a program of works to achieve organisational goals and ensure project objectives are met.
5. Managing digital engineering data including the Project Information Model.
6. Building strong relationships with the internal and external stakeholders, including project team members, contractors and consultants to ensure work is prioritised and delivered on time and to appropriate costs, quality standards and governance.
This is a permanent, full-time role. You will work in a hybrid work model with access to a range of flexible working arrangements.
About you
1. Ability to lead a high performing team.
2. Experience in the application of digital engineering on large-scale infrastructure projects.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to develop and sustain strong partnerships with stakeholders including private sector organisations and members of the community.
5. Ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders to produce quality outcomes and contribute to strategic objectives.
6. Technical expertise in rail and associated infrastructure design and engineering or design management.
7. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and tasks to ensure project milestones are achieved and deadlines are met.
8. Highly astute analytical capability to understand and resolve complex technical issues and provide clear, authoritative and effective advice to senior decision makers.
