About the Opportunity
This an exciting opportunity for a solicitor to join the Prosecution Group within the Public Law Section. Solicitors within the group are responsible for providing advice and representation in relation to the prosecution of offences on behalf of government authorities pertaining to many and varied areas including work, health and safety, consumer law, education and workers compensation fraud. Advice and representation is also provided to government authorities in relation to subpoenas issued in criminal proceedings, the Attorney-General in relation to applications for Extended Supervision Orders under the Criminal Law (High Risk Offenders) Act 2015, spent conviction matters and Magistrates Appeals. Multiple roles are available at a range of LEC1 to LEC2 depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
Special Conditions for Employment
Must currently possess or be eligible to obtain a practising certificate within South Australia.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
