About us headspace is Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12–25-year-olds. The service is designed to make it as easy as possible for a young person and their family to get the help they need for problems affecting their wellbeing. This covers four core areas: mental health, physical health, vocational support, and alcohol and other drug services. Community engagement is also provided by headspace through a multidisciplinary team approach, coordinating and participating in community activities. The Opportunity We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Allied Health Professional contractor to join our dynamic and passionate team in Maroochydore! In this role, you'll have the rewarding opportunity to engage with young people aged 12-25. You'll be one of the first points of contact, making a real impact by building positive connections with not only the young people but also their families and friends. If you're ready to make a difference in a young person's life, we'd love to hear from you! You must be a General Psychologist, and/or Clinical Psychologist, and/or Mental Health Social Worker, and/or Mental Health Occupational Therapist. You must hold Medicare bulk billing eligibility or be able to apply for a Medicare provider number. Demonstrate ability to conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions for young people who present with a range of psychological, emotional and social problems and challenges. Demonstrate ability to conduct risk assessments and manage, whilst supported by the team. Work collaboratively with all members of our multi-disciplinary team including active participation in case review meetings. What's in for you?
