Make an impact at Serco This role requires a seasoned professional to join our team and focus on value driven BAU projects aimed at optimizing and improving our security infrastructure. As a key technical resource within project spaces, you will provide expert technical guidance to assess and integrate security requirements into various initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous technical improvement. You will collaborate on strategic BAU projects such as: Cisco ISE network clean-up Firewall optimization and cleanup. SIEM improvements Vulnerability management tool enhancements Endpoint protection optimization Overall performance review and refinement of security tools and processes Your responsibilities include: Reviewing rules and configurations to ensure optimal performance and compliance. Delivering value-added services to our customers by identifying and implementing key improvements. Acting in accordance with agreed and documented ITIL processes and procedures, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Test Management Serco is a place for you. To be successful in this role you’ll have: Extensive operational experience in security tools and processes, though this role focuses on project-based work rather than daily operations. Proficiency and in-depth technical knowledge in at least two of the following: Cisco ISE, SIEM, vulnerability management tools, firewalls, or endpoint protection. A self-starter who can dive into ongoing projects with minimal guidance, working within an experienced team. Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques. Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding and minimising business impact. Some experience performing risk assessments and providing recommendations for closing compliance gaps or compensating controls, articulating residual risk, and putting in place risk mitigation plans is desirable. Desirable ITIL Foundation Certification Post-graduate degree in information systems security or a related field Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) certification or equivalent Current Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) Security certification. Other Security Professional Certification like CISSP, CISM, CISA highly desirable.
