We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to fill this unique and interesting role on a 12-month contract.The Department of the Legislative Council supports five standing committees and two joint standing committees. These committees are made up of Members of Parliament and conduct inquiries about current issues and important matters affecting our State. The Committee Clerk will work in the committee office, supporting the work of the Legislative Council committees. What you'll do as a Committee Clerk A Committee Clerk works in a team with an Advisory Officer and sometimes a Research Officer. A Committee Clerk is expected to undertake research tasks to support the Advisory Officer in addition to the administrative work for a committee or several committees. You will report to the Parliamentary Officer (Committees) and assist at least one Parliamentary committee.
