This role will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to state-wide and regional road safety through the development and implementation of Council’s Road Safety Action Plan and assist in other traffic and transport matters relating to road safety.

What You’ll be Working On
In this role you will be implementing Council’s Road Safety Action plan; coordinating the Local Government Road Safety Program; and liaising with various stakeholders including Transport for NSW, community groups, educational establishments and peak representation bodies to identify local road safety needs.
You will have the opportunity to analyse road accident data, suggestions and feedback from community, to identify and prioritise target groups for road safety initiatives and promotion of behavioural change.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
The successful candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in a related field i.e, Behavioural Science, Transport Planning, Education, Health Promotion, Marketing and Communications, Science or related disciplines. Alternatively extensive relevant road safety experience would be highly regarded.
You will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, high level of organisation, attention to detail, problem solving and time-management skills.
In addition to the above, you will also hold a Current NSW Class driver licence.
