Dean Street Bakery is looking for individuals who are eager to join a dedicated team and help continue the tradition of delivering outstanding baked goods to the community.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for these roles encompass a diverse array of tasks, including:Mixing, preparing, weighing, and measuring ingredients for the creation of delectable goods.Skillfully decorating pastries with various icings and toppings to ensure visually stunning presentations.Glazing buns and pastries, as well as adorning cakes with cream and icing.Artisanal crafting of sourdoughs, gourmet pies, pastries, cakes, and tarts.Vigilantly monitoring baking ingredient stocks and making appropriate orders within budgetary constraints.Ensuring the quality of materials and the condition of cooking equipment and devices.Adhering to strict food hygiene and safety standards.Maintaining a sanitized and organized kitchen environment.Properly store all food and related items.Keeping meticulous records and operating a variety of kitchen equipment.Upholding a clean and hygienic work environment.Planning and executing production schedules effectively.QualificationsQualified candidates should meet the following criteria:Availability on both weekend days and flexibility to work split shiftsPreferably hold a Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or a relevant fieldBe a qualified Baker/ Pastry Cook with 2-3 years of hands-on experienceAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentWillingness to relocate if currently residing interstate or in other citiesHow to join the teamPlease submit an online application to join our diverse, compassionate, and dedicated team for a rewarding career.
