The Department of Industry, Science and Resources and our broader portfolio are integral to the Australian Government's economic agenda. Our purpose is to help the government build a better future for all Australians through enabling a productive, resilient and sustainable economy, enriched by science and technology. We do this by:
* growing innovative and competitive businesses, industries, and regions
* investing in science and technology
* strengthening the resources sector
The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and is seeking experienced and motivated Enterprise Architects to assist with the delivery of various ICT Projects across the Division including artificial intelligence and emerging technology.
The Department is an early adopter of cloud technologies, with a significant number of our key applications implemented in the cloud, particularly using Microsoft Azure and O365 cloud services. We also have active legacy system decommissioning and migration to cloud programs in place.
Enterprise Architects will drive common approaches and deliver an architecture that supports business needs for the Department and the whole of government strategic direction. They will work with relevant program solution architects to help them understand the program requirements and vision and provide liaison with the Department's architectural and delivery stakeholders. Enterprise Architects will also be required to provide input to the Department's ICT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture.
