About the opportunity:
As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of safety and compliance across a portfolio of childcare centres. This position involves planning and scheduling preventative maintenance, meeting long-term maintenance obligations and addressing any urgent building issues that arise. Duties and responsibilities include:
* Develop and maintain preventative maintenance and compliance programs.
* Ensure service contracts are in place using company-standard documentation.
* Conduct regular inspections of the buildings to identify compliance and maintenance issues, maintaining detailed records.
* Select and manage contractors to ensure quality work and value.
* Oversee minor upgrades and refurbishment projects.
* Assist in preparing and monitoring maintenance budgets.
* Review and approve contractor invoices.
* Stay updated on changing industry standards and regulations.
* Attend to after-hours incidents as required.
* Maintain documentation and compliance records.
* Keep the management team informed and participate in regular management meetings.
Skills & Attributes Required:
* Experience in facilities management.
* Strong initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
* Outstanding communication skills.
* Valid Working with Children Checks and Police Clearance required.
