The Product Manager is responsible for the Fund Services suite of products for Aus/NZ market, mainly focused in Fund Administration services. This person will facilitate the business growth by bringing together people, information and ideas to ensure a proper knowledge and understanding of clients and their needs in order to maximise the development and promotion of solutions and to ensure alignment with the regional/global product strategy.
The Fund Service product manager will be located in Sydney and will be responsible for the product strategy and product management of the service offering to support clients in Australia and New Zealand. This should cover the review of the regulatory framework and the go to market strategy.
Responsibilities;
* Drive product innovation to enhance existing capabilities by working closely with Global Products teams and Client Delivery to develop core product enhancement and targeted/ tactical solutions to meet APAC clients’ or prospects’ needs.
* Enhance the value proposition by developing new solutions to support new client needs, regulatory developments or strategic initiatives
* Design and maintain effective business model to align with client needs, maintain clear product standards and ensure product control guidance
* Monitor the regulatory development and assess the impact on service offering and products
* Conduct competitive analysis and market regulatory watches, and translate these insights into recommendations
* Establish thought leadership / market advocacy – inc. regulatory topics – approach to promote market awareness & understanding of Securities Services / Partner capabilities
* Support expansion through business case structuring, strategic review and analysis and decision making across new markets
* Working alongside Sales to support business development during marketing, and translate / interpret client demands into the standard op model, service enhancements and/or new offerings
* Introduce product thought leadership from other locations to local market, working collaboratively with business and client development to position effectively with clients
* Work with client development to develop meaningful value propositions and solutions to the market, adapted for specific opportunities where appropriate

Experience:
* More than 8 years of experience in the Funds Services Industry – similar product management role in Aus/NZ.
* Capability to undertake detailed analysis and to formalise documentation to support the product lifecycle
* Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
* A clear ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels and across functions
* Analytical capability and ability to formalise and provide high standard outcomes and reports
* Experience and obtain fund industry knowledge in ANZ market.
