The Opportunity:
Liebherr Australia is seeking an analytical Software Developer to take charge of researching, developing, writing, and testing software for components and systems use in large mining haul trucks.
Reporting to the Manager – Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) Development, you will have the opportunity maintain and elevate our technical benchmarks, ensuring the delivery of top-tier solutions.

Responsibilities / Education / Experience
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop software and supporting documentation for the AHS to meet functional requirements.
2. Provide technical AHS engineering support services that deliver product reliability, functionality, and cost requirements.
3. Collaborate with other groups (Mechanical, Hydraulic etc) to create specifications that outline control system software necessary for haul truck functions.
4. Represent the AHS Team in customer meetings for development, performance, reliability, and availability review meetings.
5. Effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders to manage and mitigate risks relevant to the AHS design, functionality, and customer relationships.
6. Assist the AHS project team with other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
7. Bachelor’s degree (BSEE/EET, BSCE); and eight years of programming experience in an engineering environment.
8. Ability to travel internationally.
9. Tertiary qualifications in Project Management (desirable).
10. Post Graduate level qualification in Engineering or related discipline (desirable).
