Our workplace is fast-paced, challenging, and supportive, where every employee plays a critical role in our success.Working for Mackay Hospital and Health Service whether in regional, rural, and remote will give you unique opportunities that you won't experience in any metropolitan hospital.The Operational Services at the Whitsunday Community Health Campus is seeking applications for an Operational Officer (Cleaner / Gardener) to join their team on a permanent basis.Your opportunityThis position will be responsible for providing support services for Whitsunday Community Health Campus by providing full gardening services, cleaning of the facility building (clinical, non-clinical and external areas), transportation of equipment and materials, removal of waste, and QH assets on site and basic grounds and facility maintenance.To comply with the requirements of Workplace Health and Safety, Code of Conduct, Equal Employment, and Anti-discrimination practices and behaviours in the workplace.This position will require the ability to achieve the required quality and safety standards that are set within the department initiative and sound judgement, exercise a degree of autonomy and to work with and provide support for supervisor operational service.About the TeamThe Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities: The Community Health Campus – Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus – Proserpine.
The hospital is a 33-bed acute hospital, which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services.
