Since its inception, the company has focused on the development of its portfolio consisting of broad acre land for residential subdivisions, commercially zoned land, neighbourhood shopping centres, and office buildings. The group has exciting opportunities in the future for continued growth and the development of large-scale projects.The RoleYour role as the Group Financial Controller will offer appealing breadth. There will continuously be opportunities to take on additional challenges, ensuring your skillset is always evolving. Initial tasks will include (but not limited to):Management and stewardship of the finance function.Working with the directors and owners on business performance.Taking ownership of the management and financial reporting.Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments and pricing decisions.Prepare land subdivision costing schedules for new stages.Oversee the AR, AP and payroll functions to ensure efficient and timely processes.Managing the external tax compliance, and preparation of the work papers for group companies.Analysis of the performance of investments.Liaise with banks and finance brokers regarding existing and new facilities.Manage annual insurance renewals obligations.Supervise accounting department of 3 staff.ProfileYou will be CA/CPA qualified, technically excellent with broad accounting knowledge. An understanding of taxation, feasibilities and bank funding is also advantageous. This is a key leadership role and the successful person needs to build a high level of trust. A positive, solutions-focused and resilient nature is also key.
