We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Systems Analyst to join our Digital and Campus Services team at Edith Cowan University. The Azure Cloud Team provides environment management, database and systems administration, configuration, analysis, security, and support services related to systems and services hosted within ECU's Azure tenancy.
The Role
Through the application of specialised Cloud Services skills, including utilising the Microsoft technology stack, this role contributes to the effective operation of the University's cloud platform (Azure) as well as the services and systems deployed within the Cloud. As a subject matter expert of the ECU hybrid environment with significant ECU Application Architecture knowledge, this role will apply expertise to ensure the optimal performance of ECU services deployed within the Cloud (IaaS and PaaS).
Key Criteria
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following key attributes/experience:
Demonstrated experience in application integration, configuration, management, maintenance, development, and support. Including a mix of on-premises and outsourced (hosted, SaaS, PaaS) services, as well as a wide range of software applications in a hybrid Cloud environment to incorporate current and emerging technology into solutions.A minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility within application management, cloud, database administration, support, and delivery in a mid-sized organisation, with at least 2 years experience of design and/or implementation of infrastructure and platform solutions in a Cloud or hybrid environment.Demonstrated understanding of contemporary Cloud Technologies and experience with associated operational practices such as cost management, monitoring, release management, and automation.Demonstrated experience working with cloud-based load balancer technologies (e.g. F5) to perform traffic management, security, and related support services.Experience with enterprise-grade database technologies (Oracle and SQL Server).Experience working effectively with stakeholders in identifying, communicating, and resolving issues; engaging and managing appropriate resources; managing risks; maintaining progress; and achieving desired outcomes within project schedules.The successful applicant will be required to provide a national police clearance.
