Choice Support Tasmania is looking for support workers in the Devonport, Burnie and surrounding areas.

Requirements
The role may involve:
* Assistance with community access and recreational activities
* Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
* Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
* Transportation and supporting social engagement
* Domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Willingness to learn to become the best Support Worker
* Willingness to support people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
* Prepared to undergo training for the use of a Hoist, PEG Feeding and Epilepsy Management
* Flexible availability & a long-term commitment to Choice Support Tasmania
* Willing to travel and do sleepovers
Essential criteria:
* An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support
* Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
* A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
* NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
* The legal right to work in Australia
* Excellent communication skills
* A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities
Responsibilities
* Assistance with community access and recreational activities

* Sleepover and Wake shifts
* Split shifts
* Domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
