With a strong pipeline of developments, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale high-rise projects from inception through to final handover. This role is critical in ensuring all Development Approvals (DAs), Council Planning Permits, and Traffic Control Plans are efficiently managed while coordinating with key stakeholders, consultants, and authorities. About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with 7 years of local Australian experience, particularly in managing building approvals, liaising with councils, and securing authority approvals for major construction projects. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from obtaining Development Application approvals to securing Occupation Certification and Strata Registration with the Land & Registry Services (LRS). This role requires an in-depth understanding of council approvals, traffic control planning, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure coordination, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery – Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring successful completion. Consultant Procurement & Management – Engage, coordinate, and oversee consultants (civil, roads, infrastructure, and design teams) to ensure project requirements are met. Regulatory Approvals & Compliance – Drive projects from DA approval through to Occupation Certification & strata registration with LRS. Authority Approvals – Manage applications and approvals with Ausgrid, Sydney Water, local councils, and the Office of Water. Project Planning & Control – Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies. Stakeholder & Council Liaison – Act as the key representative in negotiations and approvals with local councils and planning authorities. Scope & Change Management – Ensure project scope is maintained while adapting to unforeseen challenges or regulatory changes. Milestone & Budget Control – Monitor budgets, manage costs, and ensure key project milestones (e.g., Construction Certificate (CC), Occupation Certificate (OC), subdivision registration) are met. Issue Management & Problem-Solving – Identify and mitigate risks, escalating critical issues when necessary. Chair & Attend Coordination Meetings – Lead high-level discussions with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and efficiency. Skills & Experience Required 7 years of project management experience in the Australian construction industry (local experience is a MUST). Proven ability to navigate local planning laws, council approvals, and infrastructure coordination. Strong experience in managing Development Applications (DAs) and Planning Permits for Traffic Control Approvals. Deep understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA), Australian Standards, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced development environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and reporting systems. Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
