Project Engineer (Client Lead, Mechanical or Structural bias)The client and you:
Australian leader within their industry, they design and build large industrial engineering equipment and are looking to add a Project Engineer to their team.
Those with experience in either complex Material, Bulk handling or heavy lifting equipment will be favored. Attend site visits and evaluate customer plans with senior management. Strong mix of mechanical and structural work. Ensure work and projects comply with QA and AS standards. Ensure designs meet client's specs, also produce additional 2D and 3D designs as and when required, assisting draftspersons.
Daily, your role will involve: Design & project ownershipLead and drive your allocated project from a technical standpointHelp assist and improve mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on each projectWork on structural improvements, frames, to walkwaysDevelop from initial concept through to completion 3D CAD modelsVisit sites to scope out work and liaise with clients and external stakeholdersVE/VE EngineeringPrepare quotes for your assigned clientsManage project resourcesSubcontractors and supplier pre-qualificationInternal stakeholder liaisonPlan to ensure project work is completed within time and budgetsWork closely with other engineering departments to ensure projects are completed within allocated time and budgetsParticipate in Design, Manufacturing and Assembly review meetingsPresent to board members abroadEnsure all designs meet relevant AS standardsManage BOMsTo be a successful fit for this full-time/permanent role, you will have: A Degree or TAFE in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering5 years' experience within medium to heavy engineering industryExperience managing small teamsExcellent communication skillsSound knowledge of AutoCAD and/or InventorStrong time management and problem-solving skillsThe successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary + Super.
