Management Accountant
Citywide is recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant. Reporting to the Commercial Business Partner, you will partner with Operational Leaders to deliver financial support and analysis that is aligned to the operational and financial objectives of the business. You will be accountable for the analyses of key financial information to aid commercial decision making that will ensure future growth and profitability.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Monthly Reporting
1. Be the key point of contact for operational business leaders with regard to operational performance and reporting.
2. Monthly reporting and variance analysis against budget and forecast for the business unit, which includes contract performance, reviews, generation of management reports, P& L, cash flow reporting and balance sheet analysis.
3. Monitor and review reports.
4. Establish, maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
5. Ensure that major change events are supported by appropriate financial analysis.
6. Process monthly journal entries including month end accruals.
7. Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Budgeting, Forecasting and Strategic Planning
8. Drive the annual forecasting and budgeting process for the business unit’s P&L.
9. Conduct scenario analysis for various value add initiatives.
10. Provide assistance for the business unit’s annual strategic planning process.
Business Partnering
11. Mentor and train the business stakeholders in the management of their financial accountabilities including budget and forecast management, billing and collection of outstanding invoices, WIP management, procurement etc.
12. Provide financial modelling and other financial assistance to the business unit’s tender proposals.
13. Assist in compiling business case justifications, contractual variation claims and growth initiatives.
14. Assist the Corporate Finance team with annual statutory requirements including the provision of information to auditors.
Special Projects
15. Develop initiatives to improve processes and identify efficiencies.
16. Other ad-hoc projects/tasks as directed.
Skills & Qualifications required:
17. At least 3 years’ relevant experience
18. Prior Business partnering experience
19. Relevant Business/Finance related degree
20. CPA/CA qualification
21. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
22. Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel
