We’re seeking a leader to support a small team for our Provider Services group. You will be essential to ensuring Sydney Water’s list of providers engaged by property developers meet the required criteria to design and build new Sydney Water assets and managing the day-to-day interface with Sydney Water’s providers for developer delivered works. You will also play a critical role in establishing and reviewing policies, processes and frameworks to optimise the model for developer delivered works.
Leadership and Management: You will lead and manage the provider services team, engaging staff with Sydney Water’s strategy and values. This includes building a high-performance culture through effective leadership, managing leave and flexible working arrangements, and coaching team members to achieve KPIs and career growth.
Corporate Strategy and Culture: Align staff with the Growth and Development vision and objectives, fostering a positive and productive working environment. You will role model Sydney Water values and behaviours, promoting open and constructive communication.
Performance and Accountability: Oversee the review, industry engagement, design, and implementation of new arrangements for external providers. Manage the assurance framework, report on provider performance, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure compliance with mandatory criteria.
Incident Management and Dispute Resolution: Ensure effective incident management and dispute resolution for providers. Provide support on policies, processes, and contractual obligations, and coordinate formal correspondence, Ministerial, GIPAs, and actions related to the Listed Provider Scheme.
Communication and Engagement: Communicate changes in technical requirements or processes to coordinators and providers. Engage with industry stakeholders, manage day-to-day provider interactions, and maintain regular communications and updates on Sydney Water requirements. Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture.
Essential Criteria:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. construction, contract management, law, business or related discipline) or experience deemed equivalent. Understanding of the requirements for total quality management, including quality assurance, service assessment, continuous improvement, and environmental management.
* Analysis and Decision Making – Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities and develop appropriate solutions.
* Understanding of competition and regulatory, financial considerations associated with a regulated service provider making commercial service offerings.
* Experience in contract management, development industry, infrastructure delivery, construction would be favourable.
