Centacare services the North Queensland community from offices in Townsville, Ayr, Bowen, Mt Isa, Cloncurry, and Normanton.Benefits you will enjoy:SCHADS Level 4 Salary $85120.36 - 91586.56 pro rataGreat NFP Salary Sacrifice options available to reduce your taxable salary by $15,900 p.a. with Eziway Salary Packaging5 Weeks Annual Leave + 17.5% leave loadingBirthday Leave + Other Above Award BenefitsExtensive support and investment in your Professional DevelopmentDescription:SCHADS Level: 4 Status: Temporary Full time, 1.0 FTE Team, Program & Department: ELS Location: Townsville Business Case: xxxx -add hyperlinkPosition Description:Key Responsibilities Include:Facilitate and/or co-facilitate evidence based and/or internally developed programs for children and adults within Centacare North Queensland, Schools or various Community venues.Conduct intake, psycho-social, risks assessments and make appropriate referrals at various points of client interaction from initial interaction, throughout course and at completion of course.Complete regular safety assessments and discuss any safety concerns with line manager immediately as per policy.Effectively collaborate, plan, prepare and debrief with other team members for assigned courses to ensure professional and collaborative facilitation and/or co-facilitation of all courses.Reflect on course content, course delivery, facilitation style, feedback and individual areas for growth and development.Enter all client data into the CSNET database in accordance with the case note policy timeframe.Establish and maintain high level, collaborative working relationships, internally and externally, that contribute towards the achievement of organisational, program and service aim and objectives.Participate in program and service planning, review, monitoring and evaluation activities, to ensure efficient, effective and appropriate service provision.Assist with the development of policies and procedures relevant to group facilitation and participate in the development of organisational policies and procedures where required.Maintain knowledge and understanding of the application of legislation relevant to the program.Skills and Experiences:The Position Requires:Possession of a relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology or Behavioural Sciences and eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association.A demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of family functioning and child development in a broad range of cultural and social contexts.Demonstration of knowledge of theoretical frameworks associated with child development, family dynamics and functioning and models of change.An ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders children and families and other CALD families.Ability to implement psycho-social and risk assessment skills during all stages of client contact – from initial intake through to course follow up.Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare documents for reports and case reviews.Ability to work effectively within a team, collaborate and plan with other team members for effective and professional co-facilitation of courses and contribute to a positive team culture both within the Education and Life Skills team and wider organisation.Ability to possess a Positive Notice for Child Related Employment (Blue Card and a yellow card exemption) from the Public Safety Business Agency (PSBA).Current, and ability to retain, both a Working with Children Blue Card check and Disability Worker Screening/Clearance Card.Current open drivers licence.
