To help us achieve this we are seeking an experienced Senior Rates Officer.
The Senior Rates Officer provides high-level support to the Rates Team Leader in the management of rates and charges and maintenance of land valuations.
This position ensures accurate and efficient processing, assists in financial reporting and reconciliation and contributes to the continuous improvement of rating systems and procedures.
On a Typical Day This Role Will
Assist the Rates Team Leader in issuing rates and charges noticesMaintain and balance Valuer Generals supplementary valuation listsProcess subdivisions and Strata Changes within the rating systemProcess all supplementary rate leviesMaintain correct rating categories for each assessmentTo Succeed In This Role You Will Have
Minimum Cert III level qualifications in a related field i.e.
finance, business or equivalent combination of qualifications and minimum 2 years' experienceExperience in Rating and Revenue functions with a strong understanding of legislation related to rates and charges.High attention to detail and advanced problem solving skillsDemonstrated ability in financial reconciliationExperience working in a team environment and independentlyExcellent customer service skillsRemuneration And Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1,316.91 per week with the opportunity for competency-based progression.
