Reporting to the Plumbing Assessment and Compliance Team Leader, you’ll provide expert advice, conduct assessments, and undertake inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and Council policies.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and decide on plumbing compliance applications.Inspect completed plumbing works to ensure adherence to approvals, legislation, and policies.Manage and regulate matters related to domestic wastewater treatment, backflow prevention, trade waste, and more.Provide advice to developers, consultants, plumbers, and the public on plumbing and drainage matters.Prepare essential documentation, including correspondence, plans, certificates, and notices.Drive continuous improvement in plumbing and drainage processes and systems.About YouYou are a licensed plumber/drainer in Queensland with proven experience in the plumbing and drainage industry. You excel at conducting on-site inspections and applying relevant legislation, including the Plumbing and Drainage Act and the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act.Essential Skills and Qualifications:Current Queensland Plumbing/Drainer’s License.Current Queensland Driver’s License.Proven experience in the plumbing and drainage industry.High-level computer literacy including industry standard software (knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office, Authority Software, Mapping Software).Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve issues effectively.Desirable Skills and Experience:Experience in the inspection, maintenance, or design of on-site sewage treatment facilities.Familiarity with trade waste compliance and backflow prevention processes.Knowledge and practical experience with plumbing-related legislation.The Selection ProcessWe encourage candidates to advise us of any accommodations they may need to ensure a smooth and inclusive experience throughout our recruitment process and work environment.How to ApplyTo apply, submit your application online by clicking the “Apply” button.
