Our busy kitchen requires a full-time qualified Chef to join us. Canteen by Ramen Daddy is an owner operated business. The owners are committed to providing staff with a positive team environment and a healthy work-life balance.
The position has excellent work conditions with training and development opportunities. The successful candidate will be well supported by our existing team and head chef.
The right candidate should have:
1. Certificate IV in kitchen management or diploma of hospitality management
2. Relevant 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
3. Ability to communicate with kitchen staff, managers, and guests
4. Demonstrate outstanding recipe knowledge for items on the food menus
5. Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and produce high quality food under pressure
6. Ability to work as a productive team player
7. Knowledge of WH&S procedures and ensure the procedures are adhered to by all kitchen staff
8. Maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen area
The position’s duties and responsibilities include:
1. Prepare dishes and organize kitchen operation
2. Coordinate daily tasks with the Head Chef and senior Chef
3. Assist the head chef to design menus
4. Monitor food quality and portion to ensure high customer satisfaction
5. Monitor and control wastage and portion control
6. Train new chefs and kitchen staff
7. Responsible for ensuring food safety and kitchen sanitation standards
Salary: $70,000-$80,000 p.a. + super
