Social Visitor Volunteer Opportunities at HammondCare
We are seeking volunteers to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people living in Residential Care in South West Sydney.
About Us
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity that provides dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, specialist mental health services for older people, and other health and aged services across NSW, ACT, SA, and Victoria.
As a volunteer with HammondCare, you will have the opportunity to share your hobbies and interests with someone who loves it too. Whether it's sport, art, pets, gardening, walking, yoga, baking, craft, movies, music, coffee, or crosswords, you can choose how you'd like to engage with our residents.
The Role
As a Social Visitor Volunteer, you will provide companionship and social interaction for older people living in Residential Care. Your visits could include activities such as:
* Going for a walk around the garden
* Playing a game of cards
* Chatting together over a cuppa
Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience for both the person you visit and yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.
