We are looking to connect with a highly motivated and experienced Dual Trade Electrical Instrumentation Technician to join our Delivery Team in providing essential water and sanitation services to more than 1.7 million people and 52,000 business customers in the northern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne. About the role
Ventia are seeking a passionate, and organised Dual Trade Electrical Instrumentation Technician to join our Delivery Team to work predominately with our team in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne operating from our Coburg depot, with your main goal being to take ownership of and to ensure the timely electrical maintenance support for pumping stations, treatment plant and storage facilities. Reporting to the Delivery Team leader your ability to provide support safely and to best practice will set you above everyone else.
Working in a fast-paced environment which is dynamic in nature, you will have the confidence to work within a multi-disciplined team. Opportunities to gain further skills and knowledge will be made available to someone who wants to do and learn more.
You’ll be responsible for several key activities including:
4. Be a safety champion within your team
5. Provide routine maintenance and project work on all assets
6. Ensure daily maintenance, diagnosis and repair of electrical and instrument faults is conducted in a safe and timely manner
7. Completing all work orders and purchase orders in a timely manner
8. Actively communicate and liaise with all team members
9. Updating and using single line, control and PID diagrams
About you
10. Experience, ideally in the utilities, oil and gas, mining, or large scale FMCG industry
11. Hold a VIC “A” Grade Electrical Licence
12. Have a Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation
13. Experience in Water and or Waste-Water infrastructure projects (preferred)
14. White card
15. Have a current Australian driver’s license
16. Experience with SCADA systems
17. Demonstrated experience in fault finding, ability to diagnose and repair LV & ELV systems
18. Ability to participate in the on-call roster
