You’re driven to learn and grow.An Allied Health Therapy Assistant (AHA) either has a certificate level qualification in allied health assistance or similar profession such as Early Childhood Education, Community Services, Disability, Youth Work, or is training at university to become an allied health professional. This means they have good background knowledge and foundational skills to help them co-deliver specific therapeutic strategies, and overall supports.You want to build your career in a workplace that supports your education, professional development and long-term wellbeing. It’s important to you to have a strong framework, supportive workplace and excellent clinical and operational supervision as you grow.Your professional experience should include:Holding a certified in allied health assistance (or similar profession)Some administrative or customer service workExperience delivering Allied Health Assistance in private practice, or to NDIS clientsAbility to work independently, while being part of a teamDemonstrated record of continuous development under clinical and operational supervisionHave a National Police check (NPC), Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) and NDIS worker screeningYou need to have:Relevant experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and working with people with disabilitiesDemonstrated ability to communicate respectfully and in a person-centred mannerWillingness to be responsive to the needs of Private Practice and to work collaboratively in a shared care modelWillingness to learn and develop new skills across both business and therapeutic aspects of practiceAbility to be adaptable and responsive to change in delivering servicesHave basic skills in the use of computers/clinical softwareThe role will include:AdministrationSupport the Director and therapeutic team with administration tasksLiaise with clients including new enquiries and waitlistsFollow processes as directed to complete administrative workWork collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth handover of tasks day to dayUndertake creative tasks including marketing and social media, under supervision and following frameworks and processesAllied Health AssistanceProvide quality care to clients in collaboration with and under the direction and supervision of the Therapy Team Leader.Working under the direction of the appropriate Allied Health professional, support clients in therapeutic activities, provide feedback on process and document progress notes.Completion of visual resources and other materials required for visits/sessions under supervision of therapist.Complete independent research on unfamiliar conditions, environments and interventions where required.Maintain confidentiality, privacy and dignity of clients and demonstrates empathy and sensitivity towards clients and relatives.What we offer youYou will have the opportunity to become an integral member of our connected care team.
