ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE Our client is a privately owned and operated Australian company, specializing in providing advanced security technology and risk management solutions.They are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to support financial operations across multiple entities.In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, managing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.You will collaborate closely with the finance team to provide insights that support financial planning and decision-making.RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.Manage payroll processing, ensuring the correct calculation of wages, benefits, and deductions.Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.Perform weekly aged receivables and cashflow reporting.Process invoices, manage payment follow-ups, and handle loan recovery and reconciliation.Conduct bank, loan, and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial statements.Assist in tax preparation, audits, and financial forecasting in collaboration with the Financial Accountant and external advisors.Support monthly performance reporting and financial analysis to aid in strategic decision-making.Ensure compliance with financial policies and assist with WorkCover and insurance claims.Assist with ISO Certification audit tasks alongside the Audit Manager.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficient in Xero.Knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation regulations, and financial compliance.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills and a high degree of accuracy in financial management.Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
