Position DescriptionPosition: Pastry CookTerm of Employment: Full time positionHours of Employment: 38 hours per weekSalary (range): $73,150.00 per annumEmployer: Chez Jean-Claude PatisserieAddress/Place of Work: West Leederville, WA 6007Position Reports Directly To: Production ManagerJOB DESCRIPTIONSetting up workstation and organising required ingredients and equipmentWeighing ingredients and ensuring right quantity and quality is usedPreparation and mixing dough and bakingUsing modern machinery correctly in line with company food preparation processesAssisting in operating and managing the team of bakersDetermining quantities of ingredients required daily and monitoring stock of baking ingredientsOrdering new supplies and ingredients for the pastry section, when needed, and within budgetCreating cakes, pastries and baked goods by following a set recipeEvaluating and assessing baked products to ensure food production is efficient and of consistently high qualityAssembling and decorating cakes and pastries to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentationCreating new recipesMonitoring equipment and ensuring all specialized pastry baking tools are in working orderPreparing work schedules and keeping production recordsEnsuring produce is prepared in quantities which are in line with daily requirements and wastage reportsMaintaining a clean work environment, in line with food safety and OHS standardsEnsuring all equipment and kitchen utensils are cleaned thoroughlyStoring ingredients and equipment correctlyCompleting food preparation, wastage, temperature and other production and food safety reportsWorking as part of a team and liaising with ManagementREQUIREMENTSThis position requires a relevant Cert III qualification or at least 5 consecutive years demonstrated relevant work experience.We are looking for individuals with extensive knowledge in pastries.A flair and passion for preparing and baking pastry products at a consistently high quality.Knowledge of use and maintenance of modern pastry baking equipment is a must.Demonstrated consistent industry experience will be highly regarded.Must be fast, efficient and reliable worker.Job Type: Full-timePay: $73,150.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftExperience:Pastry chef: 5 years (Required)Work Authorisation:Australia (Required)Work Location: In personApplication Deadline: 18/10/2024Expected Start Date: 21/10/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
