About the Role
As Payroll Manager, you will take the reins of a dynamic team of four, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of payroll while also contributing to broader business improvement initiatives. You'll lead payroll projects that drive positive change, all while maintaining the highest standards of governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop your payroll team to ensure high performance and continuous growth
* Conduct regular data audits and proactively identify areas for improvement
* Maintain strict governance and compliance standards to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
* Uphold and improve payroll policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of service
* Collaborate with key stakeholders and the executive team to ensure seamless payroll delivery
* Drive process improvements, providing recommendations to senior management for enhanced efficiency
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in managing and developing a team
* Previous experience using Chris21
* Strong working knowledge of the SCHADS award and its application
* Experience driving service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and external partners
