Join Our Growing Team as a Senior Project Engineer
We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our exciting new project based at the RAAF base in Tindal, Northern Territory.
In this role, you will be required to:
* Support the Project Manager (based offshore), Site Superintendent and Quality Manager to ensure successful delivery of the project.
* Prepare technical clarifications and submissions for approval and provide assistance with any technical issues that need to be resolved to keep the project moving forward.
* Lead the Australian based procurement process for all subcontracts and supplier packages.
* Lead the monthly subcontractor progress claim review and recommendations for all subcontracts.
* Provide progress monitoring and reporting in accordance with the baseline program.
* Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure all quality documentation, approvals and reporting are complete.
* Work closely with the major subcontractors for the earthworks and concrete works to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
* Work with subcontractors for site access, logistics, approvals and coordination.
* Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, addressing safety and environmental issues as they arise.
* Comply with airside safety and security protocols.
What will you bring?
* A minimum of 8 years + of demonstrated relevant experience in civil construction.
* Strong technical and commercial skills including planning, forecasting and procurement.
* Experience in project planning and administering subcontracts on major civil construction projects of $100mil+.
* Experience working on a defence base, airside on airport runways, taxiways or aprons is preferred.
* Previous experience of working in joint ventures would be an advantage.
* Tertiary degree in civil engineering/project management.
* Ability to work on a FIFO or DIDO 10:4 roster in a remote location is essential.
