Cook (1 Position) & 1st/2nd/3rd Year Apprentice (2 Positions) & Kitchen Hand
We are looking for a highly motivated Cook and 2, 1st/2nd or 3rd year apprentices or kitchen hands to join a soon to be newly launched restaurant adjacent to Stockmans Motel in Kingswood, Tamworth.
Along with food preparation, the successful candidates will work alongside other Chefs in a split shift, supervising, coordinating, and training other chefs, junior staff, and kitchen hands. The duties for the Chef will include:
1. Prepare all meals and work alongside Chefs
2. Assist in preparing & monitoring staff rosters, performance, and resolving any grievances
3. Respond to customer requests in a professional and timely manner
4. Maintain customer service standards set by the employer
5. Ensure work areas comply with the highest standard of cleanliness
6. Ensure customers are served in a professional and diligent manner
7. Practice proper workplace health and safety procedures
8. Assist in maintaining stock control and order stock when required
9. Organize the cleaning of the entire kitchen area
10. Prepare all meals and advise of that day's specials menu
11. Be able to work as part of a team
12. Any other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the employer
The apprentices and kitchen hands will be directed by the Chef to perform all duties in a kitchen as directed and be punctual, dedicated, and professional.
