The Role
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active part-time legal secretary (- hours per week) to join our Corporate Health and Aged Care in our Brisbane office. We are looking for someone who is able to use their initiative, is pro-active and ambitious and is capable and motivated to work autonomously without much supervision. General tasks will include:
1. Liaising with clients and staff;
2. Preparation of legal documents;
3. Correspondence (emails, memos and letters);
4. Billing;
5. Diary management; and
6. Opening, maintaining and closing matter files
Requirements of the role
The successful candidate will:
7. Be flexible and adaptable, proactive and able to work unsupervised
8. Have a positive attitude and the ability to manage the workflow of multiple fee earners
9. Have intermediate-advanced computer skills across the Microsoft suite in particular Word and Powerpoint, working knowledge of Excel, and a typing speed of + wpm
10. Have strong verbal and written communication skills
11. Have strong organisational and file management skills and demonstrate initiative.
While not essential, experience using document management and billing/time recording systems (such as FileSite and CMS or similar) will be highly regarded.
