Psychologist You will work with a multidisciplinary team of medical and allied health professionals on site to contribute to positive mental health outcomes for the Australian Defence Force personnel at Robertson Health Centre. This role is currently casual with shifts Monday and Friday weekly between 0730 to 1600. As a Psychologist, you’ll make a positive impact by: Performing intake assessments and risk assessments Providing crisis intervention Planning case formulation and treatment planning Providing programmatic treatment interventions Planning care coordination Performing mental health screenings Conducting group psycho-education About the Robertson Health Centre Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of the city of Darwin. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2,800 defence staff, with a large reserve component. The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2500 US marines every 6 months from May to September. The Health Centre provides primary medical, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy, and mental health services, and operates a 22-bed 24/7 ward. Standard operating hours are 0730-1530, Monday-Friday. Shifts are lifestyle friendly in this Psychologist role, being Monday and Friday day shifts - no nights or weekends. To be successful in this role you’ll have the following: Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a general Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Graduate Experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role. You don’t need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
