The school is seeking the employment of a Groundsperson / Handyperson to assist with the oversight of grounds and maintenance at the school. Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Oversee the general maintenance and development of turf areas and surroundsLabouring and operation of some machinerySet out and mark fields for playPlanting and maintaining trees and gardensMaintain simple records Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for garbage collection every day around the schoolResponsible for leaf blowing each day, or as requiredPulling and spraying weeds as requiredMowing as requiredBush cutting as requiredGeneral gardening as required, i.e., mulching, trimming, fertilising, watering, establishing new jobs as requiredMaintaining small plant machinerySet up and pack away at events as requiredHedging as requiredMoving furniture when requiredAssisting with general maintenance of school premises as requiredThis is a part-time position, with hours of work to be negotiated with the successful candidate. Early mornings will be required as part of the fulfilment of duties. The position will be contracted with 8 weeks annual leave per year.
