What are we looking for?
Our National Abuse team is growing, and we are now seeking a Junior Legal Assistant to join our Ashfield office on a part time basis, ideally 3 days a week.
As a valued member of this team, you will help support our Lawyers as they advance civil claims on behalf of our clients who have been abused as children in schools, juvenile detention facilities, and in other institutional settings.
This role will offer flexible work arrangements, a 1:1 working partnership supporting a lawyer within a very busy practice. You will be integral to supporting and driving the practice from an administration level. Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work. A typical day will often look like this:
1. Providing a great level of care and support to our clients in a professional manner
2. Supporting the team with general files management and administration
3. Coordinating appointments for our lawyers, medico-legal appointments for our clients, conferences and mediations
4. Communicating with clients, insurers and other professionals both in writing and verbally
5. Preparing legal correspondence and compiling court documents.
What will you bring?
Ideally you will have previous experience as a legal assistant, in the area of personal injury law, together with the following skills and attributes:
