We have an opportunity for a Senior to Principal level Botanist to join our Biological team.
The highly-regarded Biological team includes botanists, zoologists and ecologists who specialise in biological assessments and monitoring.
The role:
* Lead and contribute to botanical and ecological projects
* Study scoping and design
* Leading field surveys, including in remote and exciting locations
* Vegetation/GIS mapping and related spatial data management
* Technical reporting of biological assessments and monitoring; desktop and field results
* Report technical review
* Aid in maintaining and strengthening client relationships
* Collaborate with technical specialists in our Environmental Assessments and Management team
* Play a vital role in developing and navigating strategic pathways of the business
About You
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
* Bachelor degree (minimum) in botany, ecology, biological science, environmental science or equivalent
* 5+ years’ relevant experience (in flora and vegetation assessments, preferably in Western Australia)
* demonstrated familiarity with current Technical Guidance for flora and vegetation surveys
* willingness to travel for field assessments, including to remote locations
* experience in the preparation of, or contributions to technical biological assessment reports
* the ability to lead and manage teams and projects
* proven experience in managing client relationships
* excellent verbal and written communication skills
* a proactive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional results in a team-focused environment
