An exciting opportunity exists to join the Student Support team at Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) as a permanent staff member in the position of Student Support/Fee Assistance Officer. The Student Support team provides a range of support services to assist students to achieve their education goals. The primary focus of this position is ensuring effective administration of the Fee Assistance program and providing administrative assistance and reception duties across Student Support. To be successful in this role you will need to: have excellent communication skills and be able to work with people from a range of backgrounds ability to deal with complex situations and distressed people in a calm and effective manner. Ability to listen empathetically to people's needs and work with them to achieve a positive interaction with CIT be highly organised, able to use initiative and problem solve. Capable of working with multiple demands/deadlines and be able to work both individually and as part of a larger team rely heavily on your strong ability to process and manipulate data using ICT systems and software including, Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Trim, RightNow (CRM), Banner, Teams, and Webex. Eligibility/Other Requirements Mandatory: Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
