Key senior leadership opportunity, Sydney location High profile, influential national organisation Leading advocacy and key functions for NSW HIA has been proudly representing the Australian residential building industry for over seventy-five years.Our vision remains the same, to be an association that speaks with a united voice on industry issues and creating real change providing quality services at the lowest possible cost and working with the sector to maintain high standards.About the role The Regional Executive Director – NSW holds an integral role in ensuring HIA in the NSW region remains the leading advocacy voice of the residential building industry, whilst being the industry's indispensable business partner.As a senior leadership position the Regional Executive Director- NSW is accountable for achieving targets for business growth, external stakeholder engagement, and operational effectiveness for the New South Wales region.This is a full-time permanent position, based out of HIA's offices in Macquarie Park.Ideal candidate This role requires a strategic thinker with demonstrated senior leadership experience across people, regions, and commercial functions.The ideal candidate will have significant experience and success in engaging and influencing advocacy outcomes across all key stakeholders, including government.Key responsibilities The Regional Executive Director is responsible for: Influence – engages with and aligns political, regulatory and industry stakeholders with HIA's strategic position and annual operating targets.Leadership – provides leadership to HIA members, customers, partners, stakeholders and staff.Policy – develops and implements HIA's national and regional policies that support our industry imperatives.Advocacy – successfully prosecutes industry policy and business imperatives to optimise the commercial environment in which members' businesses operate.Networking – develops and manages effective relationships with key political, regulatory and industry stakeholders, together with media, members and volunteers, for the achievement of HIA's targets.Strategy – develops and delivers an annual regional plan which aligns to HIA's strategic agenda and policy imperatives.Is a key contributor to HIA's senior leadership group.Key Accounts – identifies, develops and maintains key account relationships with top-tier members, partners/sponsors, ensures regional members are supported, and services are maintained by local and national staff as required.Communications – ensures professional and timely communications across all HIA channels for the NSW region and to key stakeholders.Promotion – champions the HIA brand, profile, political positioning and strategic imperatives.Regional Management – Provides leadership across direct and indirect staff located within the NSW region.HIA's regional commercial services staff within the frameworks established with national functional managers.Financial – accountable for the financial success and budget targets of the NSW region, and contribution towards HIA's annual operating plan.Cross-region guidance – plays a key role in supporting all offices across NSW and contributing to outcomes of neighbouring regions.If you're interested in this position, please submit your application by clicking on the link to apply before 1 November 2024.Any queries regarding this position can be directed to A full job description can be found in the Careers section on our website, careers.hia.com.au.Position Description#J-18808-Ljbffr
