Our client, a Global Manufacturer of Lubricants for the mining and automotive industries, is looking for a Senior Health and Safety Manager to take a Strategic and Operational approach in partnering with the business to develop and implement the OHS management systems, policies and procedures.
The skill to influence senior management, establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and provide thought leadership is imperative as is the capacity to architect and drive change with a proven ability to work independently and to build strong working relationships.
Core Duties:
* Develop and lead processes for monitoring, measuring and evaluating OHS performance
* Develop, manage, evaluate and improve OHS audit processes and conduct OHS hazard and management system audits.
* Risk Assessments
* Incident Investigations
* Training and Development
* Track and monitor that all procedures/guidelines of operation relating to saftey are tracked and monitored for currency
* Develop, manage, evaluate and improve OHS audit processes and conduct OHS hazard and management system audits.
* Champion a change management environment
You will have:
* Strong understanding of OHS Legislation
* Relevant tertiary or post-graduate qualifications or experience, preferably Safety Management, or a related discipline.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
* Proven capacity to operate both strategically and operationally with expertise in strategic development and execution across a range of Health and Saftey and cultural change programs
* Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and the construction of a supportive, collaborative work environment with the ability to lead, coach and develop employees.
* Excellent collaboration with the ability to work in partnership with senior leaders, managers and employees to implement organisational improvements
* Training facilitation experience in a range of contexts including face-to-face, one-to-one or small group coaching and webinars.
* Proven experience with Safety information systems and capability in creating high quality reports
