As a Facilities Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the delivery of General Estate Works (GEW) under a high-profile Defence contract. Your new roleYour responsibilities will include coordinating in-house trades and subcontractors, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all contractual and safety standards. You will also be the key point of contact for stakeholders on-site, maintaining relationships and ensuring the timely completion of maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage all General Estate Works (GEW) under the Defence contract, ensuring seamless delivery and adherence to key performance indicators. Oversee in-house trades and subcontractors, providing site access, permits, and relevant information to ensure smooth operations. Manage costs and budgets associated with GEW services, ensuring financial control and value for money. Maintain strong, productive relationships with clients and customer representatives to ensure service delivery meets expectations. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all works within the GEMS system, allocating and triaging service requests as required. Monitor performance metrics, ensuring that maintenance activities are completed on time and in line with contractual obligations. Uphold high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout service delivery. What Were Looking For:Experience in facilities maintenance administration or coordination, ideally within the Defence or a highly regulated environment.Strong understanding of work order management, including cost control, triage, and on-time performance.Familiarity with hazardous material protocols and safety standards.Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and SAP is advantageous.A current driving licence, and need to be an Australian Citizen as this role requires eligibility for a Defence security clearance.
