Role Overview:
The Accounts and Inventory Manager will play a critical role in managing our financial and inventory operations while supporting the company's overall strategy for growth and efficiency. This position is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems, particularly with experience in migrating data from MYOB to Xero.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, BAS/GST, and bank reconciliations using MYOB.Prepare and lodge financial reports, including BAS, income tax returns, invoicing, and end-of-month reconciliations. Data Migration: Lead the migration of financial and inventory data from MYOB to Xero, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and minimal disruption to business operations.Develop and implement a structured plan for data migration, including timelines, resource allocation, and post-migration testing and validation. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including procurement, stock management, and internal sales support, ensuring stock accuracy and timely reordering.Implement and manage new inventory management systems and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs. Systems Implementation and Support: Take ownership of the implementation of a new CRM system and integrate it with inventory management processes to streamline financial and operational workflows.Facilitate the integration of the new CRM and inventory systems with Xero to ensure comprehensive data management and reporting. Operational Support and Leadership: Provide critical support to the director and assist with executive-level tasks to ensure smooth operations and team success.Train and mentor junior staff members in accounting practices, data management, and inventory control. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in accounting and inventory management, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution environment.Expertise in MYOB and Xero, particularly in ERP data migration and integration.Strong understanding of CRM systems and their implementation to enhance financial and operational efficiency.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.A proactive, self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
