Duties & Responsibilities
1. Consider the guest experience in everything youdo, always be onstage and delight in offering the best assistance to our guests.
2. To represent the face of the hotel to be ableto offer a warm welcome to all the guests entering to the StandardX, Melbourne.
3. Take pride and personal ownership of ourguests’ arrival, departure and overall experience ensuring that it is what youwould expect your stay at The StandardX, Melbourne to be.
4. Support the Reservations team with reservationsenquiries.
5. Perform check-in and check-out procedures usingthe property management system (PMS) ensuring all guidelines are adhered to forregistration. Obtain guest information and ensurethat the assigned room type and rates are correct.
6. Maintain 100% guest recognition on all VIPsarriving/departing, repeat guest and company directors visiting our hotel.
7. Be fluent in all Standard service concepts, products,and service in order to maximize up selling opportunities.
8. Handle guest enquiries in a courteous andefficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to the Manger on Dutyif no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
9. See beyond your desk by being constantly awareof the lobby and beyond, maintaining eye contact with all guests andcolleagues, anticipating needs through service checks, ensuring those waitingfor service in all areas of the business are visually acknowledge and areattended to as quickly as possible.
10. Share your great ideas with the team, we wantto know!
11. Ensure that all business data (including guestinformation, history, and rates) are accurately maintained in the propertymanagement system (PMS)
12. Adhere to company credit policy with regards torevenue processing, to ensure accuraterate and outlet charges are made to guest accounts and that cashieringactivities follow procedures.
13. Assist guests with information and purchases in the Bodega.Ensuring stock levels are maintained and the space is kept immaculate.
14. Maintain impeccable cleanliness, availabilityand peak condition of all front office areas, equipment, and supplies,coordinating any repairs or maintenance issues as they arise.
15. Project a positive and joyful attitude yet staycomposed under pressurized situations.
16. When requested, provide assistance with ourdepartments through-out the hotel, including F&B, HSK, Guest Experience andEngineering.
17. Ensure you are presented impeccably groomed andlooking your best at all times.
18. Effectively communicate with the staff andmanagement.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
19. · Experiencewith Hotel PMS systems, preferably Opera
20. · Excellentcommunication and customer service skills
21. · Committedto delivering exceptional guest experiences.
22. · Afriendly, outgoing personality.
23. · Abilityto work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.
24. · Theflexibility to work across a 7-day roster, morning, and afternoon shifts.
25. · Teamplayer with a “can do” mindset.
26. · Musthave the right to work in Australia.
