Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join our team in our Newcastle office.
About the role Manage and oversee engineering and design aspects of mineral processing engineering projects, including conceptual design, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering for the disciplines of Process, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation.
Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, primarily providing technical expertise as well as guidance and mentorship to ensure project objectives are met.
Be responsible for technical approval and sign-off of the project's engineering and design.
Collaborate with the Functional Managers (Process / Mechanical / Civil & Structural / Electrical & Instrumentation) to ensure positive project outcomes from a technical and schedule perspective.
Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, develop project scopes, and deliver customised solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies, with a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental stewardship.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team, promoting innovation, excellence, and professional development.
About you A Bachelor's degree; Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer accreditation (CPEng or equivalent) or ability to achieve.
Extensive experience with discipline engineering, preferably within a mineral processing EPCM environment, with proven experience in a leadership role.
Strong technical expertise in heavy industrial, and preferably mineral processing principles, technologies, and equipment.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from concept to completion, with a focus on safety, technical quality, and client satisfaction.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
