Key Responsibilities
* Cultivate relationships with carers, recruiting, training, and assessing them to deliver information sessions and pre-service training;
* Negotiate family support plans and coordinate placements to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people;
* Provide assessment, crisis intervention, short-term intervention skills, and therapeutic approaches to support children, young people, carers, and families.
Requirements
* Degree qualification in social work, psychology, social sciences, or a related field;
* Minimum two years' experience in providing care services to children, young people, and their families in statutory care;
* Demonstrated experience in providing training to carers and applying assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term intervention skills and therapeutic approaches;
* Awareness of child protection and out-of-home care frameworks;
* Possession or ability to acquire a National Police Check, Working with Children (Blue Card), Licensed Care Service (Child Protection).
