This contract is a partnership between Serco and Bupa, offering defence-ready clinical and support staff at 50+ on-base locations nationally.
About the RoleIn this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a health centre setting to support the diverse mental health needs of military members. You will manage your caseload, including oversight and case management of externally referred cases, and provide internal treatment to Defence members. Your management of crisis presentations, risk assessment, and risk management planning are supported within a multi-disciplinary team. This role involves working one day a week, every Monday from 8 am to 5 pm.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering Focussed Psychological Strategies as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
* Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).
* Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable).
About East Sale ClinicRAAF Base East Sale is located 220km South-East of Melbourne, supporting approximately 700 personnel. The clinic provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, pharmaceutical, physiotherapy, and mental health services, along with a 2-bed low-dependency unit.
